Do you believe curiosity belongs everywhere—from classrooms to climbing structures to science experiments that may or may not get a little messy? TCMU is looking for energetic, reliable, and playful Camp Counselors to lead groups of campers ages 4–12 through an engaging, safe, and memorable summer camp experience. Camp Counselors serve as positive role models, creating extraordinary moments for campers while representing TCMU’s mission and values with professionalism, enthusiasm, and care.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and supervise groups of up to 15 campers ages 4-5, 6-8, or 9-12 through themed activities, games, and free play
  • Prepare classrooms, materials, and activity spaces to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Participate actively in camp activities to model playful learning and engagement
  • Support volunteer assistants and junior counselors by assigning tasks and providing guidance
  • Maintain safe, organized, and welcoming camp environments
  • Follow safety procedures and document incidents as needed
  • Reset camp and museum spaces at the end of each day and prepare for upcoming sessions
  • Interact positively and professionally with campers, families, guests, and team members
What We’re Looking For:
  • Positive, energetic individuals who enjoy working with children
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Organized, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain structure while fostering a fun, inclusive atmosphere
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools for communication and scheduling
  • 0–1 year in childcare, education, camps, youth programs, or customer service preferred
Schedule & Commitment:
  • Camp runs June 1 – August 7, 2026 (no camp the week of June 29)
  • Full-season commitment required
  • Mandatory training: 3 days between May 27–May 30, 2026
  • Participation in camp training and wrap-up required (unique circumstances negotiable)
