Construction Estimator - Multi Family

• Review and analyze project documents, including architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of multifamily construction projects (site work, structural, interiors, MEP systems).
• Perform quantity takeoffs using digital tools and software to ensure complete scope coverage.
• Develop budgets and bid packages for general contracting or design-build projects.
• Evaluate trade partner and vendor pricing, solicit and negotiate bids for value and compliance.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities, flag potential overruns, and suggest value engineering solutions.
• Maintain historical cost data and internal cost databases to improve estimating accuracy.
• Support project handoff to the project management team, ensuring continuity.
• Stay current on market trends, including material pricing and labor conditions.

• 3-5+ years of estimating experience, ideally with ground-up multi-family projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Ability to evaluate subcontractor bids and ensure complete scope coverage.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
