We are seeking a talented Locum Physician in Oncology to provide exceptional medical services at a prominent free-standing cancer center. In this role, you will provide outpatient and inpatient oncology care for adult and geriatric patients, including hematology and oncology cases. You will participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, manage complex treatment plans including bone marrow transplants, and prescribe and oversee chemotherapeutic regimens—all within a collaborative team of experienced providers. During your locum period, there is no on-call requirement, offering a balanced work schedule, with responsibilities adjusted accordingly if transitioning to permanent placement.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree andboard-certified or eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
• Current medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
• Proven experience managing adult and geriatric oncology patients
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically EPIC
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to participate actively in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience managing bone marrow transplants
• Familiarity with blood bank operations
• Multilingual abilities
• Prior locum or temporary coverage experience

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• At least 2 years of clinical oncology practice
• Proven experience with chemotherapy administration and cancer management protocols

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing estimated to take approximately 60 days
• Ability to travel, with facility reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rates
• Compliance with all applicable licensure, certification, and healthcare regulations
