Staff Physician

The staff physician role aims to develop a community-based, family-centered primary care program focused on enhancing access to high-quality services and improving health outcomes through prevention, health education, and evidence-based chronic disease management.

Creating individualized care plans, emphasizing preventative medicine, providing unbiased patient care across all ages and backgrounds, administering immunizations, consulting with healthcare professionals, referring patients to specialists, and maintaining accurate documentation. The physician is expected to serve a minimum panel of 1,500 active patients, meet productivity standards, and deliver comprehensive care across various settings.

Participating in quality assurance, collaborating with staff and community partners, supporting practice development, and adhering to established care standards and compliance requirements. The role reports to the Director of Family Medicine, supervises support staff indirectly, and may precept students or mid-level providers.

Medical degree from an accredited school, completion of a family medicine residency, active South Carolina medical license, and board certification or eligibility.

effective communication, interpersonal abilities, computer proficiency, clinical expertise, and the capacity to work calmly under stress. Physical abilities include typical manual dexterity, vision, and mobility requirements, with a work environment characterized by moderate noise and exposure to blood borne pathogens. Minimal travel is expected.
