Staff Physician

The staff physician role aims to develop a community-based, family-centered primary care program focused on improving access, health outcomes, prevention, education, and chronic disease management.

• Responsibilities include creating individualized care plans, providing comprehensive medical examinations, emphasizing preventive medicine, immunizations, and collaborating with specialists while maintaining accurate documentation.
• They will manage a patient panel of at least 1,500 active patients, ensure compliance with federal productivity standards, and deliver care across various settings, including outpatient and community services.
• The position involves participating in quality improvement activities, supporting staff, and adhering to organizational and regulatory standards, with performance evaluations conducted regularly.
• Requirements include an accredited medical degree, active South Carolina medical license, board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, and strong interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills. Physical abilities and a moderate work environment are also specified.

The physician reports to the Director of Family Medicine, collaborates with staff and partners, and may supervise or precept other healthcare providers and students. The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and commitment to the organization’s mission.
