Biology Faculty

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide student instruction from a Christian worldview for various undergraduate courses (both lecture and lab) in the biology major with a focus on, but not limited to, the zoo and wildlife concentration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Mentoring and advising students in the area of biological sciences

* Teaching related to area of expertise in biology courses

* Teaching other assigned courses and labs

REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Excellent communication skills

* Willingness to attend the BJU Summer Institute in Teaching Science

* Commitment to a conceptual approach to teaching

* Desire to create a "natural critical learning environment" for students in and out of the classroom

* Commitment to a biblically consistent view of science as articulated in the BJU Division of Natural Science philosophy statement

* Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues

* College classroom teaching experience preferred
