Press Distribution Returns Associate

ROLE

SUMMARY:

As a Returns Associate, the ideal candidate will play a supporting role in assisting in the returns process, by working with Customer Services to determine whether a product is authorized to be returned. You will primarily be responsible for receiving, handling/opening returns and issuing credit memos so that the Business Office may issue refunds for customers. This position does require heavy lifting.

About the Team:
The Distribution Center team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by distributing BJU Press products to customers. The Manufacturing & Distribution team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by providing products for Christian educators.

• Assist the Returns Lead in classification of returned products.
• Enter returned items on credit memos.
• Return non-BJU Press products and non-refundable items to customers.
• Assist the Press Business Office and Customer Services with inquiries as needed.
• Assist the Returns Lead with other duties as needed.
• Assist in other departments as needed and during slow times.

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Ability to maintain focus during repetitive functions
• Patient
• Good math skills
• Good communication skills, both oral (telephone) and written
• Familiarity with printing and binding processes helpful
• Good computer/typing skill

• High school graduate or GED
• No prior experience needed
