GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the CDC-Child Development Ctr department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

* Assist lead teacher with curriculum planning to include the development of lesson plans, classroom arrangement, and enhancement of the classroom.

* Supervise the classroom and direct classroom activities.

* Facilitate a variety of learning experiences where children can manipulate and explore a variety of materials and experience success.

* Gather necessary supplies and materials ahead of time.

* Guide children in the proper care of materials.

* Acts as a positive role model.

* Observe and record children's behavior as directed.

* Use appropriate transition techniques.

* Promote children's learning by supporting children's ideas and progressive skill development.

* Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

An Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education with one year full time experience in a NAEYC accredited program.
