Biology Teaching Assistant; GA

POSITION SUMMARY: The Biology Teaching Assistant is responsible for teaching freshman-level laboratory sections and aiding in the grading of assignments for the large biology classes (e.g., General Biology I and II). This position requires 30 hours per week and is reserved for graduate students of BJU. This position begins August of 2026.

Under the direction of the professor teaching Biology and Biological Science courses, the graduate assistant will teach two sections of General Biology lab and Biological Sciences lab. The graduate assistant will grade all sections of the labs taught by other instructors and will grade other assignments in the large biology classes. As an instructor, the graduate assistant will meet with the professors of the class on a weekly basis and maintain regular office hours to meet with students.

A knowledge of biology and chemistry at the undergraduate level is required.
