Lucideon M+P is seeking a talented and driven Metallurgical Engineer to join our growing U.S. team and support a diverse range of clients across aerospace, energy, defense, and other cutting-edge industries. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives on solving complex materials challenges, enjoys hands-on investigations, and values direct client interaction.

You’ll play a key role in delivering world-class evaluations, failure analyses, and consulting services on a wide variety of metals and alloys.

Who You Are

You're a detail-oriented, customer-focused engineer with a passion for metallurgy and problem-solving. You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering or Materials Science (advanced degree preferred).
  • Industrial experience working with metals and alloys, including titanium, superalloys, and other high-performance materials.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgical evaluation techniques, including SEM, image analysis, hardness testing, and failure analysis.
  • Ability to interpret diverse test standards and client requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead investigations on a wide range of metals and products.
  • Perform metallurgical evaluations and coordinate cross-lab activities.
  • Consult directly with clients to define testing programs and technical approaches.
  • Prepare professional technical reports and deliver findings.
  • Support quality compliance, audits, and procedure development.
  • Occasionally assist the commercial team with technical scopes and client inquiries.
