Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication.
This position is permanently located in Jonesville, SC. The role will be remote (in the United States) until Late 2026/Early 2027.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

What You’ll DoThe Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication will be responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by leading continuous improvement /cost-out initiatives across the organization while developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes. Additional responsibility includes executing the organization’s strategic plan consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements. The candidate needs to be able to think outside the box, encompassing lean and manufacturing engineering principles, day in and day out.
InThis Role You Will
- Design and optimize manufacturing cells and flow lines with a focus on safety, efficiency, ergonomics, and waste reduction.
- Develop and maintain standardized work processes and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Lead process development, cost‑out initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma methods.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and improve process capability and performance.
- Support design‑for‑manufacturability, new product introductions, and cross‑functional engineering collaboration.
- Manage and execute projects, including planning, budgeting, communication, and change management (ADKAR).
- Contribute to capital equipment selection and prepare Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs).
- Leverage technology to improve information flow and eliminate operational waste.
- Participate in manufacturing assessments and may serve as a category lead.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Three (3) years of experience/exposure to Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, or Coil Winding.

- Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50‑mile radius of Jonesville, SC.
- Detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques – i.e., value stream mapping, one piece flow, 5S, Standard work, visual controls, daily accountability, process checks, etc.
- Thorough understanding of problem‑solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) – i.e., thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.
- Laser cutting experience with flat steel.
- Fiber laser experience.
- Automation experience.
- Proficiency in various software applications – i.e., SAP, Computer-Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, MS Office suite, Mini Tab, Metamation, Nesting Software, etc.
- Knowledge of industry and customer‑specific quality processes (i.e., ISO
9001, etc.). - Thorough understanding of production environments (low volume/high mix and high volume/low mix) including safety/guarding requirements.
