Job Description

This position is responsible for performing Planning & Scheduling activities for a Large EPC project. This role is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching in a team of Planning & Scheduling specialists. Acting as a resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor management and functional leads.

  • Updating of the project schedule periodically in line with the approved Project Controls Reporting Plan
  • Evaluation of impacts from deviations identified according to the project change management process
  • Maintenance of the schedule for all approved changes after baseline in line with the project change management project.
  • Coordination with discipline leads for maintaining the integration between the project schedule and control level schedules.
  • Performance of analyses for monitoring adherence to the schedule, including flagging and communication of deviations to the baseline.
  • Preparation of schedule what-if scenarios as required to support the implementation of proposed mitigations and accelerations
  • Preparation of schedule deliverables in support of internal and external project reporting needs
  • Initiation of a schedule re-baseline process if actioned after any of the forecasted triggering events has been triggered.
  • Participate in Schedule Risk Analysis effort throughout project
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic

Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Job Requirements
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training courses and mentoring of Project Controls personnel
  • Support and actively participate in Fluor Project Controls Global Initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPC Experience
  • Experience as a Planner & Scheduler for a large-sized project
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters
