Are you passionate about hands-on development in an engineering team that combines theory and practice to deliver the next generation of technology to our GE Vernova platforms? The AMRT is the Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Engineering organization that focuses on building next generation technology and processes to support the repair and build of GE Vernova Gas Power products. The AMRT Process Development Dimensional Inspection Engineer will develop and industrialize and support advanced inspection processes and systems for GE Vernova Power businesses globally.

She/he will develop industrial inspection systems, implement them in GE Vernova facilities worldwide, and provide engineering and technical support for our global network of service centers.

What you’ll do

  • Generate, maintain, and verify CMM programs utilizing PC-DMIS or other software.
  • Manipulate Models using NX 1965 as needed to support CMM programming needs.
  • Provide CMM related support and provide operator training for new processes or process improvements.
  • Generate and support workstation instructions (methods) for CMM related issues.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost related to CMM processes.
  • Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.
  • Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree with 3 years of experience in dimensional inspection OR High School Degree with 6 years of experience in dimensional inspection.
  • 3+ years experience off-line PC-DMIS Programming
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drawing requirements with a strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5M – 2009).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming and running Coordinate Measuring Machines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with solid models (preferably NX 1965/2206).
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills, with above average shop math skills in geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience with HDT or Aerospace components is a plus.

Other qualifications

  • Experience with hardware or software tools related to inspection and metrology is desirable.
  • This role may require access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers may be conditioned on the ability to obtain authorization for access to such information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
