Senior Project Manager – Greenville, SC

As a Senior Project Manager (SPM) in Manufacturing with Middough in the Greenville, SC area, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the client and outside consultants on the project(s). The SPM is responsible for the overall development and execution of a portfolio of manufacturing projects including project profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, resource management, project scope, schedule, budget and contractual requirements.

The SPM provides leadership and organization to the project and instills confidence in the client regarding the project team’s abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Professional point of contact for client relationships to provide project support and relationship development with Portfolio Managers.
  • Coordinate completion of defined work scope for a project between the assigned disciplines and offices.
  • Assist in the preparation of project execution strategy and review progress as drawings and specifications are developed and prior to issue for permit and construction.
  • Develop, review, and approve all project management documents including scope, costs, schedules, and internal/external communications.
  • Monitor changes in scope and schedule and secure change authorizations as required.
  • Manage project financials, pricing, invoicing, and cash flow.
  • Assist Portfolio Managers with developing proposals, project specifications/scopes and negotiating final contracts.
  • Monitor project costs and quality to ensure profitability and technical performance; develop actions to correct variances in scope, budget, or schedule.
  • Apply cost-efficient and innovative design approaches to save construction costs and improve productivity.
  • Identify key project issues and establish objectives and priorities; determine solutions and direct their implementation.
  • Prepare periodic reports for the client to track cost, schedule, and quality performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and train earlier career Project Managers.

Education, Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of project management experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Professional Engineering License and/or PMP Certification preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of basic engineering and construction models (A/E, AEPCM, Design Build and/or CM).
  • Thorough understanding of contract administration, liability, and safety issues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams with professionalism, trust, integrity, and collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Navisworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and organize for project efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
