Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Level 3

What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer – F‑16 Tooling Coordinator at Lockheed Martin, you will drive process improvements, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and implement data‑driven solutions for the F‑16 program. Collaborating across production and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in enhancing quality, reducing production time, and supporting one of the aerospace industry’s most iconic programs. • Tool Periodic Inspection Coordination;
  Working with production operations to coordinate and automate the tooling verification process while utilizing shared resources across multiple sites
• Tooling Rework & Repair Coordination;
  Standup & lead periodic F16 Tool Master reviews to drive cross functional alignment and accountability on rework & repair efforts in progress.
• Provide Schedule & Priority clarification to the Manufacturing Engineering team
• Tooling project integration and resolution

• Identify, plan, and implement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce standard and non‑standard production hours.
• Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to address challenges, develop solutions, and ensure alignment on process improvement strategies.
• Use data‑driven methodologies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvements, and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute corrective action plans to address production issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions.
• Uphold Lockheed Martin’s quality standards by ensuring all process improvements and manufacturing activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
• Experience working with tooling on a legacy platform
• Experience working in a production environment
• Project Management experience
• Experience briefing Sr leadership on project milestones

• Supply Chain experience
• Experience coordinating multiple complex projects to closure concurrently
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• PMP certification
