Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Plumbing Designer adept in computer-aided design (CAD) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using drafting applications to create and produce drawings and 3D models of advanced complexity. They should be capable of reading, interpreting, and generating design drawings with minimal supervision from engineering. Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to walk down field systems, interpret field direction, and generate advanced design details while creating new or modifying existing drawings.

Responsibilities

* Utilize drafting applications to originate and produce advanced complexity drawings and 3D models.

* Read and interpret design drawings with minimal supervision from engineering.

* Walk down field systems, interpret field direction, and generate advanced design details.

* Create new or modify existing drawings.

* Direct, check, and approve work performed by other designers.

* Develop estimates, schedules, staff projections, progress reports, key quantitative tracking, project scope of services, and scope of facilities.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in S3D modeling and isometric drawings.

* Experience in 3D modeling and plumbing design.

* At least 15 years of experience in drafting related to engineering and construction.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Associates Degree preferred.

* Experience with in electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, and plumbing fields.

* Experience in the nuclear sector is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment involves using advanced technologies and equipment, including CAD and S3D modeling tools. The role may require field visits to interpret field directions and to ensure the accuracy of design details. The work setting encourages precision, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in complex design projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
