Structural Designer Greenville, South CarolinaAs a member of our growing Water Design team, the Structural Designer will be responsible for developing and detailing Revit 3D models and construction drawings for water and wastewater facilities projects. This role collaborates closely with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support the design and delivery of treatment plants, pump stations, and related facilities. The role is central to project delivery across our many offices and utilizes the latest BIM technology, predominantly Revit software, to produce high‑quality structural models and drawings.
Typical projects include reinforced concrete basins, tanks, process structures, equipment foundations, and building structures within water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Develop and maintain structural Revit 3D models with moderate to high autonomy.
- Prepare plans, sections, and detailed structural drawings for concrete, steel, and masonry systems.
- Assist in model coordination and clash detection using BIM tools.
- Produce construction documents in coordination with engineers and project teams.
- Incorporate field data, redlines, and as‑built information into models and drawings.
- Work as a team player with technicians, designers, and other disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical) to execute projects and develop detailed design drawings.
- Arrange necessary resources for file sharing and communication to effectively share design files across the company or with clients, sub‑consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain strong communication with engineers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and avoid potential conflicts.
- Ensure quality program compliance, including QA/QC to meet company standards.
Due to the collaborative nature of coordination using BIM tools, candidates must seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members. They must also maintain a positive team attitude and interpersonal effectiveness to foster and maintain an efficient and productive team.

Requirements- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CAD, BIM, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of structural drafting/design experience (water/wastewater preferred).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required);
AutoCAD experience is a plus. - Experience with reinforced concrete, masonry building, and structural steel detailing.
- Strong understanding of structural construction drawings and structural systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of water or wastewater treatment specific structural design.
- Experience using Bluebeam software.
- Experience with file sharing protocols and other methods of file transfer.
- Good communication and training skills (verbal and written).
- Associate degree or higher with a focus on CAD/BIM.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM
360 file sharing software.
