Overview
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer who thrives in automation, controls design, and problem-solving. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking projects from concept through completion and wants to work on custom automation solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. WhatYou'll Do
- Design electrical and control systems for automation projects using AutoCAD Electrical and/or Solid Works Electrical
- Create schematics, panel layouts, IO lists, and cable schedules
- Develop BOMs, drawings, and complete design packages for release
- Select and specify hardware and components for automated systems
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams
- Support builds, troubleshooting, and commissioning as needed
- Help develop and maintain standard components and CAD libraries
- Contribute to improving design efficiency, accuracy, and overall system performance
- 4-year degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation or controls
- Experience designing electrical schematics for PLC-based systems
- Experience with industrial control panel design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or Solid Works Electrical
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, or UL508A standards
- Experience with system integration, robotics, or automated equipment
- Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, etc.)
- Experience supporting projects from concept through completion
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Passion for automation, robotics, and continuous improvement
