Qualification Engineer

MAU is hiring a Qualification Engineer for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Qualification Engineer, you will lead equipment, part, and special process qualifications while supporting manufacturing capacity growth, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
This is a long-term contract opportunity.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering

• 2–3 years of turbine engineering and/or manufacturing experience

• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills

• Well versed in lean manufacturing methods
• Experience interfacing across matrix organizations
• Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations
• Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes

• Create qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering requirements.
• Manage schedules and scope for equipment purchases, installation activities, and qualification efforts.
• Attend and facilitate Kaizens and Roadmaps to support capacity ramp initiatives.
• Lead qualification projects from inception through closure for parts and special processes, including coatings, brazing, and related manufacturing processes.
• Apply design and manufacturing knowledge to implement new ideas that enhance qualification processes, reduce costs, and add value.
• Identify and implement qualification cost-reduction opportunities.
• Provide regional and, in some cases, global shop support.
• Cultivate a positive working environment and team morale.
• Drive a sense of urgency while maintaining quality and speed throughout qualification activities.
