Design Liaison Engineer
Are you ready to bridge the gap between cutting-edge design and global manufacturing? We are seeking a high-caliber Design Liaison Engineer to join our team in Greenville. This isn't just a desk job—it is a high-impact, technical decision-making role where you will act as the vital link between Engineering and the Global Supply Chain (GSC). You will be the technical authority responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and performance of critical gas turbine hardware.
The Challenge As a Design Liaison, you will own the technical disposition of hardware non-conformances. You won't just identify issues; you will apply your expertise in Hot Gas Path (HGP) design and rotating machinery to provide mechanical assessments that keep production moving without compromising on safety or quality.
What You'll Do
- Lead Dispositioning:
Partner with Supply Chain to drive technical justifications for hardware non-conformances, maintaining a relentless focus on quality. - Optimize for Producibility:
Support concurrent engineering and Lean flow, ensuring new designs are optimized for the manufacturing floor. - Drive Process Innovation:
Lead hardware qualifications for advanced special processes, including high-tech castings, thermal coatings, and precision hole-drilling. - Continuous Improvement:
Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens and Lean Action Workouts to reduce defects and streamline the manufacturing lifecycle.
What You Bring
- Technical Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- HGP Expertise:
Proven experience with gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery (specifically hot section components). - Analytical Rigor:
Proficiency in FEA, GD&T, and Solid Modeling (NX and ANSYS Classic preferred). - Operational Mindset:
Previous experience with non-conformance dispositioning and a solid understanding of manufacturing materials and coatings. - Agility:
The ability to rapidly shift priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional global environment.
What Sets You Apart
- Direct experience with ANSYS Classic or Python coding.
- A background in advanced manufacturing processes and statistical process control.
- A "Challenge the Status Quo" mentality—always looking for ways to make products better, faster, and more cost-effective.
Why Apply? This is an opportunity to work on world-class technology at a competitive rate of $59/hr we value candidates who are humble, self-motivated, and continuous learners. With a streamlined one-round interview process, we are looking to move quickly for the right candidate.
