We are currently looking for a Senior Controls Engineer in Greenville, SC to lead and support innovative automation projects across North America, Europe, and Asia.

- Supervise controls engineers and related staff, providing technical guidance and leadership
- Coach and support engineers in identifying technical skill gaps and career development opportunities
- Partner with department leadership to advance the engineering organization through training, leadership development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, including staffing plans, workload distribution, and adherence to project schedules
- Design and develop control systems and equipment to meet customer and project requirements
- Lead cross‑functional technical teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
- Support the successful execution of assigned programs with accountability for cost, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction
- Assist with identifying systemic issues and driving improvements in departmental efficiency
- ~10+ years of related professional experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree with two or more years of related experience
- Approximately two (2) years of experience leading technical projects
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers and support their professional growth
- Extensive experience with automation products, services, and the automation industry
- Proven ability to identify systemic issues and drive improvements in departmental efficiency
- Ability to serve as a technical expert and leader within the department
- Current or prior experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry strongly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites and other JR locations
- Successful completion of a 10‑panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check is required
