Position Highlights
- Full-time, on-site role in Greenville, SC
- MUST be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience with an MS degree or 15+ years with a BS degree in industrial production and/or laboratory evaluation of material properties, with an emphasis on steel.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, steel production, and metal forming processes.
- Experience with metallurgical laboratory equipment and failure analysis.
- Ability to analyze material properties and develop solutions for bearing, steering, driveline, manufacturing, supplier, and customer issues.
- Experience leading technical projects, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise on complex metallurgical issues.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with automotive quality systems (IATF 16949, CQI-9) and industry standards (ASTM, AMS, ISO) is preferred.
