Aeroelastic Simulation Engineer

Job Description Summary Activities aimed at proving design loads simulations to enable Product Design. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the design of wind turbines, supporting different disciplines across engineer with analysis and or simulations. Develop AI capabilities for enabling higher quality and timely positioning of next generation products. Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 1 to 3 years of relevant experience

Experience with:
Simulation platforms, structural and fluid mechanics, CFD etc Coding and programming languages like C Low fidelity solvers like BHAWC, Bladed, SIMPACK. Or medium fidelity like FEM solvers. CFD solvers like Open Foan or ANSYS

Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable). For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
