- Drive the 1P1P methodology as the technical lead for Gas Power
- Translate global corporate standards into site‑specific process improvements optimizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics
- Lead, mentor, and coach Global Process Engineer Authorities across Gas Turbine, Generator, Repairs, and HRSG/Steam value streams
- Provide technical support for site bottlenecks, rapid problem‑solving, and new technology implementation
- Monitor site adherence to 1P1P standards and intervene when practices deviate from the roadmap
- Codify technical knowledge from site problem‑solving into global standards
- Oversee manufacturing technology from concept through retirement
- Ensure equipment and process investments align with repeatability and efficiency benchmarks
- Integrate automation and digital tools, including AI, autonomous machine learning, and condition‑based monitoring
- Interface between the Gas Power Supply Chain and Central Robotics and Automation organization
- Influence EHS, Quality, Materials, and Sourcing stakeholders
- Resolve technical disagreements between site operations and GPEA members
- Travel to global manufacturing sites to drive shop‑floor implementation and audit compliance
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering, such as Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Significant industrial experience leading the design and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies
- Deep experience in shaping, machining, joining/welding, finishing, and complex assembly
- Functional knowledge of the Purdue model for industrial automation
- Experience with control theory, kinematics, and dynamics
- Experience with Lean line implementation, mechanical automation, and sensing
- Proficient analytical skills in applied automation, manufacturing methods, and process control
- Ability to identify hardware issues
- Proven ability to manage global teams, complex P&L/cost centers, and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a servant leadership approach
- Ability to coach and influence others while leading global teams
- Ability to travel 30%+ to global manufacturing sites
- Experience with power‑generation manufacturing methods preferred as a differentiator
- Demonstrated success using DFSS and Lean methodologies, including 3P, Poka Yoke, and Kaizen
- Experience improving process capability using Cpk/Ppk
- Experience with NDT methods and precision metrology relevant to power generation
Demonstrates expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies, process optimization, and technical leadership within the Gas Power sector. Proficient in integrating automation and digital tools while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
