Thermal Spray Process Development Technician

GE Vernova seeks a Thermal Spray Industrialization & Process Development Engineering Technician to help industrialize advanced coating processes for energy applications. In this role, you will set up and operate thermal spray and supporting equipment, execute process development trials, and collect accurate test and inspection data. You'll work closely with engineers to optimize parameters, troubleshoot issues, and transition processes into production while maintaining strict safety, quality, and documentation standards in a collaborative, mission-driven environment accelerating the energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization of thermal spray processes for advanced energy components
• Set up, operate, and maintain thermal spray and related lab equipment
• Execute process development trials and collect test data accurately
• Assist engineers with process optimization, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Perform inspections, basic metrology, and quality checks on coated parts
• Document procedures, test results, and run reports in digital systems
• Follow safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards in lab and shop areas
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing to transition processes to production
