Mechanical Engineer II

Our client, a leading company in the energy and advanced manufacturing industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will be part of the Repair Engineering and Manufacturing Support organization, supporting Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions.

What's the Job?
  • Manage repair qualification activities while ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) to support manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Support Built-In-Quality (BIQ) initiatives and drive process improvements throughout the operation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Repair Technology teams to improve repair processes and quality outcomes.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, industrial, or repair environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and/or electrical engineering drawings.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, gas turbines, power generation equipment, aerospace manufacturing, or advanced repair technologies is preferred.
