WHAT WILL YOU DO
Implement an automated product width measurement system on the extruder to improve product release accuracy, reduce manual inspections, and enhance process control. The project will install real-time width measurement technology capable of continuously monitoring product dimensions and providing immediate feedback to operators. By establishing automated width verification at the point of manufacture, the system will improve quality assurance, enable faster response to process variation, reduce scrap and rework, and support data-driven decision-making for product release.
The project's overall objective is to improve dimensional compliance, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen customer quality performance.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift).
- Major in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial and Material Science
- The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
- US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis. This position is not available for immigration sponsorship.
