Agile Itr Lead Engineer For Conversions, Modifications, And Uprates (Cmus) Services Projects

Looking to make a global impact and solve problems? Through relentless innovation and continuous collaboration with our customers, GE Gas Power, part of GE Vernova, is providing more advanced, cleaner, and efficient power that people depend on today and building the energy technologies of the future.

What impact you'll make? The Agile ITR Lead Engineer for Conversions, Modifications, and Uprates (CM&Us) Services projects plays a pivotal role in the Americas region, leading technical and operational execution from customer inquiry through order receipt and outage execution. This role serves as the primary Agile team focal point for standardized, small, and quick-turn CM&U opportunities and projects, ensuring customer needs are translated into technically sound, executable solutions.

The Agile ITR Lead Engineer provides leadership and technical oversight to other ITR (Inquiry to Remittance) engineers while also directly executing assigned work. The role includes reviewing early-stage opportunity inputs, supporting proposal development and customer negotiations, reviewing order-entry requests, assigning work across the team, and resolving technical and process escalations. Success in this position requires close collaboration with Sales, Commercial Operations, Project Management, Design Engineering, Field Services, Sourcing, and Supply Chain.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders across Sales, Commercial Operations, Project Management, Sourcing, and Engineering for Agile ITR-related matters in the Americas region.
  • Balance responsibilities approximately 50/50 between leading team task assignments and providing hands-on ITR execution, with flexibility based on business needs and team capacity.
  • Provide technical expertise and develop technical solutions as part of the inquiry-to-order and order-to-remittance process, including configuration, scope definition, performance considerations, schedule inputs, and overall execution approach.
  • Review customer inquiry inputs and gate requests to ensure scope clarity, completeness, and actionable direction for proposal development and project execution.
  • Support and guide ITR engineers during proposal creation, technical review cycles, and customer negotiations.
  • Review order-entry requests and manage work assignments to support successful downstream engineering and project execution.
  • Manage technical and operational escalations from internal and external stakeholders on assigned opportunities and projects.
  • Monitor team capacity and workload distribution to support on-time delivery, operational efficiency, and team development.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and drive improvement actions in collaboration with Agile leadership, using Lean principles and KPI-focused problem solving.
  • Support key operational activities such as short cycle requests, change orders, sales order assignments, non-conformance support, field request support, and other critical ITR leader responsibilities.
  • Integrate with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, vendors, service shops, and other teams as necessary to support successful project outcomes.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries using engineering tools, technical documentation, prior project experience, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Help drive a culture of technical rigor, customer focus, accountability, and continuous learning across the Agile ITR team.

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience. Deep knowledge of heavy-duty gas turbine technology. Significant experience in Engineering, Technology, or Customer Project Engineering, including Application Engineering and/or Requisition Engineering. At least 8 years of relevant professional experience. Strong understanding of CM&U inquiry-to-order and order execution processes.

Other Eligibility Requirements:
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally, less than 10% of the time.

What will make you stand out:
Previous field or site experience with GE Vernova heavy-duty gas turbines is preferred. Knowledge of GE Vernova gas turbine product lines and MLI/BOM structures. High proficiency in gas turbine application and requisition processes. Strong understanding of gas turbine operations in simple cycle and combined cycle applications.
