- Respond to biomedical equipment service calls within hospitals or healthcare systems in Greenville, South Carolina
- Evaluate, diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on biomedical equipment
- Conduct safety and environmental inspections
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and regulatory/compliance requirements
- Document all work performed
- Maintain customer relationships and frequent communication to ensure resolution and follow-up
- Care for tools and test equipment and maintain calibration
- Identify and immediately report customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment
- Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electronic and electro-mechanical devices
- Experience interpreting schematic diagrams
- Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends
- Analytical and communication skills to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner
- Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers in a solution-based service process
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not provided
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
- Required vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
- CBET certification desired
Demonstrates expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing biomedical equipment while adhering to regulatory compliance and safety standards. Strong communication skills facilitate effective customer interactions and technical issue resolution.
