What Impact You’ll MakeAs a member of the Wind Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP), you will be an active contributor to our commitment to safety, high-quality scalable workhorse products, and decarbonizing the globe.
Job Description What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)- Contribute to impactful and technically challenging projects in the wind power generation industry during four 6-month rotations in a variety of disciplines, including Design, Systems, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
- Enhance core engineering skills through Advanced Courses in Engineering, and business trainings with other GE Vernova Development Program members from other functions and locations.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
- Grow technical expertise in your chosen field and expand skills in new areas.
- Have the opportunity to earn credit towards an MS degree in Engineering (if entering with a BS)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following Engineering majors from an ABET accredited university.
- Eligible majors:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aero Engineering, Controls Engineering, Civil Engineering. - Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
- Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 without rounding
- You have a passion for the wind energy industry, engineering, and dedication to a career in technology
- You have proven scholastic achievements, proactive leadership skills, and prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing.
- You are a highly motivated, self-starter, energetic, positive individual who is flexible in changing environments and brings
- The ability to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, learning agility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment
After the program, you will be a well-trained Wind Engineer applying your technical expertise to drive innovation in the wind power industry. You might be working on cutting-edge projects in Design, Systems, Reliability, or Integration & Test, playing a crucial role in our mission to deliver reliable, affordable, sustainable, and renewable energy solutions.
Additional NotesEmployees with a permanent address more than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible for a relocation package upon joining GE Vernova as well as rotating between sites while on-program.
