Role Overview

This Electrical Engineer position focuses on leading electrical design, PLC/DCS automation, site safety standards, and project management ($50k–$500k+) in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA/NEC standards, lead safety training, and author Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures for new and existing machinery.
  • Capital Projects & Equipment Integration: Lead cross-functional teams, OEMs, and contractors to specify, commission, and start up process control systems and power distribution hardware.
  • Controls & Automation Programming: Modify and optimize logic across DCS, PLC, HMI, Servo, and Robotics systems to maximize operational throughput.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve root-cause electrical, mechanical, process, and OT network failures, while providing off-shift emergency escalation support.
  • Mentorship & Continuous Improvement: Train production, controls, and maintenance staff on advanced technical troubleshooting and system maintenance.
Required Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) paired with 3+ years in an industrial electrical engineering role.
  • Core Controls & Power: Deep working knowledge of power distribution, protective relays (Eaton/SEL preferred), AC/medium-voltage drives, instrumentation, and OT network security/troubleshooting.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as backup/disaster recovery protocols.
  • Software & Tools: Competency with PLC/HMI software, AutoCAD, CMMS, and standard project management tools.
