Job Description Summary
The Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology (AMRT) Additive team develops and industrializes 3D printed combustion and hot gas path components to enable advanced gas turbine products. The AMRT Additive Process Team Engineering Leader manages a large-scale operation encompassing >24 pieces of additive equipment and processes. This leadership position oversees a team of engineers and technical staff responsible for the execution of additive development products through print and post-print processing for New Technology (NTI) and New Product Introduction (NPI).
This position owns the execution and industrialization of the AMRT-Additive Development Lean Line and leads the team in continuous improvement of print and post-print processes for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost while incorporating advanced technologies.
Mentor and grow a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, providing ongoing coaching, career development, and individualized training.
Operational Execution:Lead the team in executing additive test hardware and development components across the Additive Development Lean Line (24+ assets).
Continuous Improvement:Drive the identification and execution of high-impact improvement projects (SQDC) within the Additive Development Value Stream.
Industrialization:Lead the transition of new additive technologies from R&D/lab environments into the full-scale Gas Power Global Supply Chain.
Technical Authority:Serve as a primary domain expert for additive processes and hardware qualification, providing training and technical guidance across the organization.
Strategic Contribution:Participate in cross-functional initiatives, including network strategy, organizational planning, and business process development.
Technology Leadership:Maintain an active pulse on industry shifts, equipment innovations, and process advancements; apply these learnings to improve product performance and team culture.
Basic Qualifications Technical Foundation:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, or related field).
Experience:>8 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience leading or coaching individuals and teams in a professional capacity.
