As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President of Accounting will manage core accounting functions including loan portfolio management, accounts payable management, taxation, general accounting, cash management, and financial reporting. This individual will be responsible for preparing budgets and financial projections, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and closely with various functional teams across the company. This position requires onsite management and collaboration.

- Leadership & Culture — Engage, motivate, and lead a team with a continuous improvement mindset, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
- Technical Expertise — Apply accounting principles and standards to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition, expected credit loss estimates, lease accounting, income tax provisions, and intangible asset valuations.
- Process Innovation — Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes, vendor management, and reconciliation. Lead system implementations and drive automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration — Communicate effectively with team members, peers, senior leadership, and international teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Accountability — Understand, adhere to, and enforce all corporate policies while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
- Experience: 10+ years in financial reporting and accounting management; experience with accounting systems and process automation;
Big Four or public accounting firm background; banking/financial services industry experience. - Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adaptability to changing environments; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS; ERP and financial systems expertise; federal, state, and local tax knowledge; ability to interpret and communicate complex accounting concepts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 20 lbs.); typing and data entry; use of office equipment and computers; access to reliable transportation; ability to travel as needed.
