Job Title:

Financial and Regulatory Accountant Daily Responsibilities

• Monitor Regulatory filing deadlines and ensure adherence
• Reconcile Data from General Ledger and regulatory reporting data
• Compile and validate data for regulatory reporting, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Prepare State regulatory filing for SEC director review
• Assist in preparation of annual and quarter-end SEC filings
• Provide High Level of Support to SEC Director by analyzing variances, conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and other high-level accounting functions
• Gather Data to provide Analytical Reporting and Project Support to Sr. Management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance tax reporting efficiency and compliance
• Maintain organized documentation to support tax filings and respond to regulatory and/or audit requests
• Assist with the preparation of various tax schedules for local, State, and Federal agencies to ensure timely submission
• Coordinate tax preparation request lists in coordination with external tax experts

• Must have familiarity with General Ledger Software Systems- client uses Workiva
• Self-Starter, with a proven ability to work independently
• Proven Ability to work under deadlines and meet all deadlines
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to pull SQL Queries
• Familiarity with Financial statements and tax preparation
• 2+ years of experience in accounting
• Undergrad Degree in Finance or Accounting

• Master's Degree or CPA are a plus, but not required
