We're seeking a detail‑oriented accountant (Temporary) to join our Greenville, SC headquarters on a temporary basis and support our Portfolio & Risk Management team in maintaining the financial controls and data integrity that power our mission.

OpportunityAs our Staff Accountant, you'll report to the Director, Portfolio & Risk Management and become a key contributor to our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical precision with a passion for process improvement—someone who sees opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to drive efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of financial control. You'll own critical cash accounting and reconciliation responsibilities while actively identifying ways to enhance our processes and strengthen our financial systems.
Responsibilities- Obsess over Customers by ensuring accurate cash accounting and reconciliations that directly support the financial stability and trust our customers depend on.
- Lead with Vision by identifying opportunities to enhance internal controls, reduce manual processes, and implement AI‑enabled tools that drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Embody Integrity by maintaining rigorous reconciliation standards, investigating variances thoroughly, and providing clear, well‑documented support for internal and external audits.
- Boldly test by collaborating with Technology and Accounting teams to test and validate data flows into SAP and Snowflake, strengthening data accuracy and process integrity.
- Be Decisive by translating complex financial data into clear narratives for leadership and partnering with Treasury, AP/AR, Controller, and Operations to resolve issues and align on improvements.
- Show up to coach by documenting improved workflows with process maps and data lineage diagrams, and actively participating in Finance/IT project testing.
- Always maintain a proactive mindset and strong sense of process ownership, ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in cash accounting, bank reconciliations, or general ledger.
- Experience in high‑volume cash environments or financial services is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and reconciliation best practices.
- ERP Systems – SAP or similar;
Flo Qast for close management. - Advanced Excel – Power Pivot (DAX), dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, macros.
- SQL – Intermediate Snowflake/MySQL for queries, joins, and data validation.
- AI Literacy – Understanding of generative AI capabilities, limitations, governance, and responsible usage.
- Growth Mindset – Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply AI tools to improve productivity and automation.
- Experience with process automation and workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Team purpose.io or Microsoft Copilot in a business context.
- Background in financial services or regulated industries.
- Experience with data validation and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of payment processing systems and settlement activities.
