Commercial Loan Operations Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Manage one or more Senior Commercial Banking Solutions Assistants
• Manage Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, and Asset Based Lending portfolios
• Order appraisal bids and appraisals and provide subject property information to the Appraisal Department
• Coordinate closing calls with borrowers' and lenders' counsel
• Review loan documents with the loan officer and consult lender counsel on changes
• Ensure loan approvals correspond to loan documents
• Review insurance requirements and ensure changes before closing
• Review environmental reports, prepare environmental checklists, and coordinate reviews when necessary
• Coordinate loan documents for booking on the loan bank system
• Ensure loans are properly booked after closing
• Maintain and monitor ongoing insurance requirements for CRE portfolio properties
• Assist with opening and closing accounts, online banking, wire transfers, and treasury management products/services
• Communicate directly with clients regarding banking issues, concerns, and questions
• Maintain pipeline data and provide portfolio data to senior management and loan officers
• Clear exceptions by working with counsel and loan operations
• Assist with buying and selling participations and document flow between participating banks
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 4 years' college degree
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a financial organization performing similar duties
• Excellent knowledge of loans
• Excellent understanding of loan documents
• Ability to coordinate several loan closings at once
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills
• Ability to manage and lead others
• Ability to operate standard office equipment; good keyboarding and computer skills
• Knowledge of mainframe (navigator) and Laser Pro
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Detail oriented
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check
• Must be available for schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends as needed

Demonstrates expertise in managing Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, and Asset Based Lending portfolios while ensuring compliance with loan documentation and insurance requirements. Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate multiple loan closings, and maintain strong client communication.
