Position:Surgical Assistant – Cardiac Team
Location: St. Francis Downtown, Greenville, SC
Why this role mattersAs a Surgical Assistant on our Cardiac Team, you'll be instrumental in life‑saving cardiac procedures. Your role goes beyond support; you're an essential partner at the surgical table, working hand‑in‑hand with our skilled cardiovascular surgeons. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring successful outcomes for our patients.
Your responsibilities- Serve as a Surgical Assistant in cardiac cases.
- Prepare surgical suites with necessary equipment tailored to each patient.
- Provide crucial exposure and retraction, ensuring the protection of delicate anatomy.
- Open heart surgery and vein harvesting experience highly valued.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant Program.
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) through NBSTSA, NSAA, or NCCSA, and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Will speak to and accept RNFA.
- Minimum of 2 years in an Operating Room, preference for cardiovascular OR experience.
