Breakfast Attendant/Evening Reception Host Job Description
Part time – Breakfast Attendant (2 days per week, 5:00 am – 11:00 am) and Evening Reception Host (1 day per week on Wednesday, 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm).
Principle Responsibilities & Position PurposeContribute to customer satisfaction by preparing and serving high‑quality food products in accordance with brand standards; maintain cleanliness and guest‑ready appearance of the outlet; understand and implement the mission statement, values, and culture at all times.
Pre-Requisites (Requirements)- 1+ year of experience in a food and beverage position preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professionalism with honesty and trustworthiness
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
- Stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach.
- Long hours sometimes required; schedule may vary and include holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
- Entire property, staff services, hours of operation, types of rooms, locations, rates, and discounts.
- Menu items and beverage choices.
- Standards of operation as required by brand.
- Ability to answer inquiries about shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.
- Daily hotel operations, checking daily events, bulletin boards, and staying up to date on changes, new procedures and events.
Suggest and serve quality food and beverage items as per standards; service‑mindful, friendly professional behavior.
Abilities- Multitask, detail‑oriented, remain service‑centric.
- Communicate with guests and co‑workers.
- Assist with guest issues with professionalism, maintaining a hospitable attitude.
- Work as a team member in cleaning, food preparation, and storage.
- Prepare and consistently maintain dining area and supplies in a guest‑ready atmosphere.
- Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day.
- Maintain safety and security practices; possess thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Ensure guests receive the highest quality product and service.
- Control food costs and keep inventory up to par.
- Take inventory and submit order requests as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned, that the associate is capable of performing.
