Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Power Platform Developer to support a huge Manufacturing Client here in Greenville, SC! This is an extending contract role for 12 months with anticipated renewal each year. This role is centered on using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to support business analytics and project delivery for Manufacturing Engineering. The developer will work onsite within a highly collaborative, people oriented environment, partnering daily with engineering leadership, SMEs, and business users to understand KPIs, project milestones, non conformities, and overall portfolio health.

They will build, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards used by director level leadership and country managers to track project delivery, KPIs, and Cap Ex initiatives, while also developing and supporting Power Apps that capture, manage, and validate project data. Day to day responsibilities include creating and maintaining automated data flows to ensure reliable refreshes and stable pipelines, cleaning and normalizing data from multiple sources to support a sustainable data model, and troubleshooting existing solutions that are not currently functioning, such as broken data flows, access issues, or refresh failures.

The role also involves managing access rights, permissions, and governance within the Power Platform environment, working through a backlog of approximately 10–15 initiatives prioritized by business impact, and clearly explaining technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders to support adoption. This person will sit within a 12-person team supporting a broader group of ~360 users across the region (with ~150 onsite).

• Proven 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing solutions using:
  • Power BI (dashboarding, KPIs, executive reporting)
  • Power Apps (business data capture, forms, workflows)
  • Power Automate (data flows, refreshes, automation)
  • Dataverse (data modeling and management)
• Ability to explain why a solution was built, not just how
• Strong experience working with business‑driven KPIs and metrics
• Data cleansing, validation, and normalization experience
• Understanding of how analytics support project delivery, milestones, and operational decision‑making
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational data concepts (SQL is used regularly, though not necessarily all day, every day)
• Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 tools
• Experience extending Power Platform with JavaScript, C#, .NET, or Python
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
• Familiarity with portfolio management systems or large Cap Ex initiatives
