AI Security & AI Governance Specialist; Microsoft Solutions - Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview controls (DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, audit, eDiscovery)
• Support the safe rollout and ongoing governance of AI-enabled tools like Copilot
• Monitor data risk and help identify and address potential exposure or oversharing issues
• Work with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Product teams to align governance with business needs
• Provide clear, audit-ready documentation and reporting to support compliance and reviews
• Analyze business critical data / processes and recommend improvements / highlight opportunities
• Work with complex data / optimization / design problems and conduct advanced analytics tasks
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
• Work in collaboration with internal and external teams to identify opportunities for innovation and transition them to prototype and industrialization phase
• Develop custom data models and algorithms
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement solutions
• Serve as an internal consultant to other developers and engineers as needed, providing assistance in all phases of product life-cycle development
• Advise developers and engineers on emerging IT technologies and assist the team in process matters related to development/support, providing necessary on-the-job training and development of associates/contractors within the team
• Maintain accurate, meaningful, and updated technical and non-technical documentation pertaining to all aspects of area(s) of responsibility
• Clearly communicate requirements, progress, goals, and results to business partners with various levels of technical knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor

• Microsoft Purview within an enterprise Microsoft 365 environment
• Data security, governance, and compliance controls (policy setup through enforcement and monitoring)
• Understanding how data moves across SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and Exchange
• Supporting audits, privacy reviews, or regulatory compliance activities
• Translating technical controls into clear, business-friendly guidance

Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, science, mathematics/statistics, or related field. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in computer science, mathematics/statistics, or a related field (preferred).
