Director of Information Technology

The Senior Director, Information Technology will serve as the organization's senior technology leader, with responsibility for enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, MSP governance, and technology integration related to mergers and acquisitions.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will work closely with executive leadership, business unit leaders, and the organization's private equity ownership. This is not a traditional infrastructure or day-to-day IT operations role. The successful candidate will be a business-minded technology leader who can establish strategy and governance while maintaining the technical credibility necessary to evaluate architecture, security, infrastructure, and vendor decisions.

The Senior Director will inherit an existing IT environment and outsourced support model while having significant opportunity to shape the future‑state technology organization, operating model, and roadmap.

• Develop and execute the enterprise technology strategy and multi-year IT roadmap.
• Serve as a strategic technology advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team.
• Align technology investments with business priorities, acquisition activity, risk, and growth objectives.
• Establish governance, accountability, and operating discipline across the IT function.
• Evaluate the current IT organization and determine appropriate future‑state capabilities, resources, and operating models.
• Translate complex technology issues into clear business recommendations for executive stakeholders and ownership.

• Serve as the technology leader throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including diligence, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close integration.
• Assess acquisition targets across infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, licensing, vendors, identity, and technology risk.
• Develop technology integration strategies, timelines, budgets, and cost models.
• Lead post‑close infrastructure, security, identity, and systems integration activities.
• Build and continuously improve a repeatable technology acquisition and integration playbook.
• Ensure acquired businesses can be integrated efficiently while maintaining appropriate security and governance standards.

• Own and optimize relationships with outsourced technology and managed services providers.
• Establish SLAs, KPIs, performance expectations, governance processes, and accountability measures.
• Evaluate service quality, responsiveness, cost effectiveness, and scalability.
• Lead regular vendor performance reviews and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate the appropriate balance of internal versus outsourced IT capabilities as the organization grows.
• Improve visibility and forecasting related to IT spending, licensing, hardware, services, and infrastructure.
• Establish enterprise infrastructure and architecture standards across a distributed, multi‑location environment.
