A well-established, construction-focused law firm in Greenville is seeking a Paralegal / Litigation Legal Assistant to support its busy litigation practice. This role blends substantive paralegal responsibilities with high-level legal administrative support.

Position Overview
The Paralegal / Legal Assistant will support attorneys handling construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, construction defect claims, and insurance-related cases. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support attorneys in managing active litigation caseloads
• Draft, edit, and proofread pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery documents
• Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts
• Coordinate and manage the discovery process (organizing, indexing, summarizing documents)
• Maintain case calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Assist with legal research and case preparation
• Track billable time and support client billing processes
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
• Provide general litigation and administrative support
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of litigation experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Experience in construction law, civil litigation, or insurance defense strongly preferred
• Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with legal case management software preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
Paralegal certification or coursework is a plus but not required.
