Associate Attorney – Family Court Litigation
Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to support Family Court litigation matters. This role involves assisting with case preparation, legal research, client interaction, and court proceedings while working closely with senior attorneys. The position offers hands‑on litigation experience, early client exposure, and mentorship to support long‑term professional growth.

• Assist senior attorney with client meetings, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions independently or with senior counsel.
• Manage case progress, track deadlines, and proactively identify issues with potential solutions.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.

• Active membership in good standing with the South Carolina Bar (or expected admission in Nov. 2025 with 403 requirements completed).
• Strong interest in Family Court litigation.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules.
• Highly organized with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.
