Overview

Enviro Smart D.B.A ES-Integrated is seeking a qualified Environmental Services Site Superintendent to support the Greenville, South Carolina Division, with experience on HAZWOPER and/or Industrial sites. The Site Superintendent will support a wide variety of environmental field services and project support. A candidate should demonstrate experience performing the listed or related duties and have the ability to learn, train, grow, and advance in a team-oriented environment.

A minimum of 3+ years’ experience is required, including leading crews of 3 or more technicians and/or field operations. The Site Supervisor must be qualified to manage multiple service crews at different sites. Enforces all relevant safety and quality control policies and procedures. Ensures work meets company and customer expectations, achieves satisfactory profits, adheres to time limitations and contractual requirements.

Performance is measured for Safety, Quality, and Value delivered. Working conditions include outside work, extreme temperatures, noisy environments, shift work, flexible schedules, and 24/7 on-call availability.

Essential Functions
  • Strong leadership and management skills and maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with specifications and schedule
  • Strong client relations skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage costs and control schedule
  • Excellent knowledge of safety requirements; conscientious of Safety, Quality, and Teamwork
  • Ability to coach, lead and motivate multinational and multi-disciplined employees
  • Manages the day-to-day work in the field
  • Adjust quickly and effectively to changing conditions and demands
  • Must be able to perform and guide employees in the following areas: operation of heavy machinery, pumps and hoses; erosion control installation; handling waste drums, waste segregation; landscaping, mowing; sample collection; stormwater; HDPE piping; general sitework; spill response; decontamination; waste clean-up; site remediation and/or restoration; waste management; understanding of written and oral instruction
Required Eligibility Qualifications
  • 3+ years of management experience in the environmental field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Clean driving record and a valid state driver’s license (Required)
  • Able to obtain identification compliant with REAL
  • Pass DOD/DOE background check for site access/clearance
  • Pass pre-employment and random DOT & Non-DOT drug and alcohol screening
  • Experience in site cleanup, industrial cleaning, or landscaping-type activities
  • Reliable transportation and ability to fulfill varying beginning and ending shift times
Physical Demands
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
  • Pass pre-employment physical
  • Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; spend the majority of the day in a non-seated position
  • Physically capable of wearing a respirator (pass Pulmonary and FIT Test) and not having claustrophobia or acrophobia
  • Work in varying (extreme) temperatures
  • Perform activities such as shoveling, raking, routine housekeeping
  • Complete all pre and post training including safety, new hire, and regulatory requirements
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Manage crews consisting of CDL Drivers, technicians, and laborers
  • Timesheet review and approval, project performance metrics (safety, quality, value), recruiting/hiring, and scheduling
  • Promote safety, quality, and value in all industrial service-related projects
  • Vacuum equipment operations; operate large industrial cleaning equipment and vehicles
  • Pressure washing; other industrial cleaning-related activities
Certifications/Training/Licensure
  • 30 Hour OSHA (Preferred but will train)
  • MSHA (Preferred but will train)
  • Confined Space Entry (Preferred but will train)
  • Class A CDL (Preferred)
  • 40-HR HAZWOPER (Preferred but will train)
Hours of Work
  • Shift work, flexible schedules and 24/7 on-call availability (varies by division and job)
  • Typical week:
    Monday – Friday, 8-10 hours per day (varies by division and job)
