Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across their facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and partnering with leadership to reduce organizational risk. It’s a strong opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who enjoys hands-on program management and working collaboratively across operations.
EssentialDuties & Functions
- Oversee EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and internal evaluations of operations
- Manage regulatory reporting, third-party audits, and agency interactions
- Evaluate EHS considerations for new products or processes
- Implement hazardous material and environmental waste management programs
- Develop, update, and maintain EHS procedures, processes, and training
- Maintain accident and injury logs, including OSHA Form 300
- Lead investigations of injuries, incidents, and near-misses, providing trend analysis and recommendations
- Schedule and conduct testing and reporting for air quality, noise, chemical exposures, water, and emissions
- Partner with leadership to develop strategies, policies, and initiatives that improve safety and reduce risk
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and communicate updates to employees
- Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, emergency services, and regulatory organizations
- Provide leadership, guidance, and knowledge transfer to employees and teams
- Oversee confined space safety programs and compliance with OSHA standards
- Perform other qualified duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing EHS in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in hazardous material (HAZMAT) and hazardous waste management laws and procedures
- Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and work collaboratively to achieve results
