We are seeking a Program Manager to lead Smith House, our licensed group home serving youth who have experienced foster care disruption and instability. This role is about more than operations — it is about building a home where young people can regulate, grow, and begin to believe in their future again.
What This Role RepresentsYou will:
- Lead a 24/7 residential home with clarity and consistency
- Coach and develop staff to respond through relationship, not control
- Create structure that supports emotional safety
- Ensure youth experience stability, accountability, and belonging
This is hands-on leadership in a real home, with real young people, navigating real challenges.

We are seeking a grounded, relational leader with the experience and emotional steadiness to lead within a 24/7 residential environment.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working with youth in residential, foster care, or trauma-impacted settings
- Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and adolescent development
- Ability to lead during crisis situations with calm and sound judgment
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-through skills
- Valid South Carolina driver's license and ability to meet background requirements
- Steady, emotionally regulated leadership style
- Clear communicator who holds boundaries with compassion
- Comfortable providing feedback and managing performance
- Committed to accountability, dignity, and youth-centered practice with youth from all backgrounds
- Able to balance structure with relational engagement
Pay Range: $52,000-$56,000
