The Program Manager is the operational engine of the soccer ministry. This role ensures that all programs are scheduled, staffed, supplied, and communicated clearly. The Program Manager manages people, systems, logistics, and reporting so that ministry delivery is consistent, sustainable, and effective.
Because we are His Turn Soccer, the Program Manager must also be proficient in soccer coaching. This includes a strong understanding of player development, training structure, and on-field leadership, enabling them to support coaches effectively and ensure that every program reflects both soccer excellence and ministry impact.
Qualifications- Proficient in Microsoft systems
- Bachelor’s degree
- Soccer coaching proficiency
- Schedule and coordinate all soccer programs (schools, churches, camps)
- Manage calendars, locations, and logistics
- Ensure programs are fully staffed, equipped, and ready to run
- Serve as the on-call problem-solver during program hours
- Handle schedule changes, absences, and contingencies
- Recruit, onboard, and schedule coaches and volunteers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for coaches
- Manage coverage and substitutions
- Support the Program Lead Coach by handling logistics and administration
- Maintain registration systems and attendance tracking
- Communicate clearly and consistently with:
- Coaches and volunteers
- Schools and churches
- Parents and families
- Build repeatable systems so operations are not person-dependent
- Maintain Trello boards and operational workflows for appropriate projects
- Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes
- Prepare weekly and seasonal reports for the Executive Director
- Surface risks, challenges, and decision needs early
- Support data collection for impact measurement
- Collaborate closely with the Program Lead Coach on:
- Scheduling
- Curriculum implementation
- Staffing needs
- Execute seasonal planning initiatives approved by the Executive Director
- Ensure all assigned locations are adequately staffed and coached, stepping in to lead sessions when necessary.
- Fulfill coaching duties as directed by the Executive Director.
- Provide consistent on-site leadership, backup, and support across all coaching activities.
- Engage fully in all after-school program activities, modeling excellence in both coaching and ministry presence.
- Fundraising or donor management
- Board communication or governance
- Leading ministry vision
- 15 hrs – Scheduling & logistics/Program Development
- 10 hrs – Communication & coordination
- 8 hrs – Coach/volunteer management
- 7 hrs – Systems, reporting, problem-solving
- Makes day-to-day operational decisions related to scheduling, staffing coverage, and logistics
- Brings budget-impacting decisions, program cancellations, or policy exceptions to the Executive Director
