Overview
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Assembly Technician to support the assembly of complex rake and optical probe assemblies. This role is focused exclusively on the hands-on assembly of standard instrumentation, including temperature measurement devices, thermocouples, and pressure-related components. The successful candidate will bring a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on highly complex, multi-part assemblies.
In addition to executing assembly tasks, this individual is expected to provide constructive technical feedback to the project lead regarding assembly processes, tooling, and opportunities for improvement. This role is well suited for someone with a prototype or fabrication background who is comfortable working in a build environment that requires precision, consistency, and thoughtful problem-solving. This role is M-F, 40hr per week with occasional overtime.

- Support the assembly of complex rake and optical probe assemblies.
- Perform hands-on assembly of standard instrumentation, including temperature measurement devices, thermocouples, and pressure-related components.
- Work independently on highly complex, multi-part assemblies with precision, consistency, and thoughtful problem-solving.
- Provide constructive technical feedback to the project lead regarding assembly processes, tooling, and opportunities for improvement.
- Adhere to build environments that require precision and attention to detail.
- Participate in a Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- Experience assembling instrumentation systems (e.g., temperature sensors, thermocouples, and pressure instrumentation)
- Strong mechanical and precision assembly skills
- Experience with fine joining techniques (e.g., micro tack welding, brazing or similar precision processes)
- Comfortability with instrumentation verification and validation (e.g., performing ohm readings, conducting pressure readings, and basic functional checks)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently; prototype or fabrication background
- Experience identifying process or tooling improvements
- Background in advanced or precision instrumentation environments
- Experience with fiber optics
