What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee all paint activities within our manufacturing and sustainment operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that painting activities consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and cost efficiency IAW LM manufacturing Operation System (MOS). This role requires fostering a culture of continuous improvement and a strong emphasis on Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, driving operational excellence and adherence to best practices across all processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and hands-on oversight of all painting activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Lead by example, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Efficiently assign daily tasks to direct reports, ensuring clear communication, effective execution, timely completion, and accurate management of employee payroll actions.
* Guarantee the precision and promptness of all aircraft documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
* Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency while championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Strengthen and uphold a culture that prioritizes and embraces Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, implementing best practices and training to mitigate risks.
* Ensure all employees' training and certifications are current and compliant with industry standards while participating in enhancing a robust training program to optimize a skilled and competent workforce.
* Drive the continuous improvement and development of technical competencies, talent, and performance within the team while mentoring and coaching team members to ensure an agile, versatile, and highly capable workforce.
* Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes while streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have 5 years' experience in the Aviation, Aerospace, or related industry.
Candidate must have two-year degree or 4 years of leadership experience with no degree.
Proficient with interpreting aircraft drawings and technical data.
Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point)
Desired
Skills:
Aircraft Paint leadership experience with low observable coatings.
* F-16 aircraft coating experience.
* C-130 aircraft Coatings.
* Lean Concepts Greenbelt certified.
* Basic understanding of tools, machines, systems, and processes typically used in coating of aircraft surfaces.
* Working knowledge of Earned Value Management, SAP, or similar systems
* Previous Employee Training and development experience.
* Effective communication experience both orally and written.
* Self-starter, able to follow directions, versatile, can quickly adjust as situations warrant
* Experience forecasting manpower.
* Experience with employee recruitment and selection process.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
