MAU is hiring for an Industrialization Project Manager with our client in Greenville, SC. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and technical Project Manager to join our Industrialization Team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between physical machine installation and full operational readiness. You will be responsible for managing the schedules, resources, and interdependencies for multiple lean manufacturing lines, focusing on line modifications for capacity increases and new line installations for expanded capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a Smartsheet power user who can build complex project architectures while coordinating across multiple technical and support departments to ensure a seamless transition to production.
This is a long term contract position.
Up to 18 months
Experience LevelMid-level (5–10 years)
Key Responsibilities- Schedule Integration & Management: Integrate multiple complex schedules from various Project Managers (focused on machine installation) into a master project plan. Identify and manage critical path interdependencies.
- Smartsheet Architecture: Build and maintain Smartsheet structures from scratch, including templates, automated workflows, and dashboards. Use these tools to provide real-time visibility into project health and resource constraints.
- Process & Operational Readiness: Lead the scheduling and resource coordination for machine start-up, process development, programming, tooling, fixtures, and part qualification.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central "hub" for the Industrialization team. Coordinate daily with CAPEX, CADCAM, Deployment, Development, Quality, and Fixture/Part Movement teams.
- Resource & Constraint Management: Identify resource bottlenecks and negotiate solutions across departments to keep project timelines on track.
- Procurement Tracking: Monitor the timing and delivery of key purchased items (tooling, fixtures, etc.). Proactively update schedules based on the push/pull of delivery deadlines to minimize impact on start-up dates.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular status meetings and provide clear, actionable updates to technical experts and production leaders who will eventually own the industrialized processes.
- Experience: 5–10 years of project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet is required (ability to build architecture, link schedules, and create dashboards).
- Industry Knowledge: Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally related to Aerospace or Power Generation components and parts.
- Skills: Proven ability to manage complex interdependencies and resource constraints without direct budget authority.
- Soft Skills: Strong influential leadership skills—ability to drive results across cross‑functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Ops) in a fast‑paced shop floor environment
- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a strong plus.
